Tofu with Chinese Mushrooms and
Dates Recipe

Ingredients:

cakes of large tofu

Chinese mushrooms

10 dried Chinese red dates

clove garlic, minced

1
small piece of ginger, minced

1/4 cup and 1/2 cup vegetable oil

tablespoons rice wine
-

tablespoons sesame oil
-

tablespoons oyster sauce
-

tablespoons soy sauce
-
2
tablespoons cornstarch

Method:

Soak the mushrooms for 2 hours, drain and cut them into thin
slices

Soak the dates for 2 hours, drain, and cut them into half
and remove the pits

Cut the tofu into small pieces (cut into half and then slice
each half to thinner slices).

Heat up wok and 1/2 cup oil, and fry the tofu (2-3 slices at
a time) until golden brown, set aside on a plate

Heat the 1/2 cup oil, stir fry garlic and ginger for 1
minute.

Add mushrooms and dates, 4 tablespoons of water and
cornstarch and heat through

Add rice wine, soy sauce and oyster sauce and heat through
for 5 minutes

Pour the sauce on top of the tofu

Ready to serve
