Stir Fry Beancurd with Chili Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cakes beancurd

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 5 tablespoons finely chopped onion

  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

  • 1/4 lb ground meat (beef or chicken or pork)

  • 3 chili peppers, seeded and chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water

Method:

  1. Blanch beancurd into boiling water for 1 minute, drain and cut into cubes

  2. Heat wok and oil over medium heat. Stir fry onion and garlic for 2 minutes

  3. Add ground meat and stir fry until the meat is cooked

  4. Add beancurd, chili peppers, sugar, and soy sauce; bring to boil

  5. Add in cornstarch, stir and simmer for 2 minutes until the sauce is thickened

  6. Ready to serve
