Stir Fried Bean Threads with Ground Pork Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz ground pork

  • 2 packages bean threads (3 oz)

Ingredients A:

  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped ginger root

  • 1/2 tablespoon hot bean paste

Ingredients B:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 2 cup stock or water

Method:

  1. Soak the bean threads in water until soft; remove and drain. Make several cuts through the bean threads to shorten the lengths

  2. Heat the wok then add 3 tablespoons oil. Stir fry the pork for about 2 minutes; add Ingredients A; stir to mix.

  3. Add Ingredients B and bean threads; bring to a boil. Turn the heat to low and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the liquid has almost completely evaporated.

  4. Remove and serve. Chopped green onions may be sprinkled on top of the bean threads
