Broccoli with Garlic Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb broccoli, cut into florets

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 onion, minced

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 9 cups water

  • 1 clove garlic, sliced into thin slices

  • 2 tablespoons minced celery leaves

  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  • 3 slices lemon

Method:

  1. Boil 8 cups of water in a large pot and put in broccoli. Cook for about 4 minutes, remove and drain. Place on a plate

  2. Simmer all other ingredients except cream and lemon slices, covered for 20 minutes. Strain into another saucepan

  3. Add cream and stir over low heat for 5 minutes

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Pour the sauce over the broccoli, place lemon slices on top

  6. Ready to serve
