Chinese White Tea
White tea is originally coming from Fujian Province, and based on different standards of picking and selection, white teas can be classified into different grades. According to research, white tea can be used to fight cancer as well as deterrent.
The most popular and highest grade white tea is Bai Hou Yinzhen, also called Silver needle, is fleshy, bright colored and covered with tiny white hairs. The best Yinzhen is picked between mid of March and mid of April when it is not raining and only using undamaged and unopened buds.
Bai Mu Dan is the second best white tea after Yinzhen. Bai Mu Dan is a white tea which includes new leaves and also the center needle sprout. The brew is pale green or golden color with peony and floral aroma. The finest quality should have a simmering clear infusion with a delicate lingering fragrance and a fresh, mellow, sweet taste devoid of astringency and grassy flavor.
Other white teas such as Gong Mei (Tribute Eyebrow), Shou Mei (Noble, Long Life Eyebrow) and White Pu-erh Tea are some other good white teas which you can find from China. Other countries such as Sri Lanka, India and Africa also produce nice white teas which have their own unique taste.
