Stir Fried Squid with Assorted Vegetables Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 lb fresh squid

  • 1 cup precooked sliced celery

  • 12 slices precooked carrot

Ingredients A:

  • 1 green onion, cut into 6 pieces

  • 6 slices of ginger root

  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic clove

Ingredients B:

  • 1/3 teaspoon salt

  • Dash of black pepper

  • Dash of sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons water

Method:

  1. Cut of the heads, tentacles, and tails of the squid; remove the membrane and rinse. Score the inside surface lengthwise and crosswise; cut into bite size pieces

  2. Heat the wok then add 3 tablespoons oil. Stir fry Ingredients A until fragrant. Add the slices of celery and carrot; stir to mix

  3. Add squid and stir until the pieces of squid curl. Add Ingredients B and mix quickly. Transfer to a serving plate and serve
