Method:

Make
1/4 inch wide and 1/2 inch deep cuts across the abalone. Turn
the abalone 45 degree; then cut into paper thin slices. Remove
any wilted leaves from the bok choy; cut it into 3 inch pieces.
Boil half a pot of water. Separately blanch the bok choy and
straw mushrooms for 3 minutes each

the wok then add 3 tablespoons oil; stir fry the bok choy and
add a dash of salt. Remove and arrange around the platter

Reheat the wok then add 3 tablespoons oil. Stir fry the onions
and ginger root until fragrant. Stir fry the mushrooms and add

cornstarch mixture to thicken; stir. Add the abalone slices,
stir to mix. Transfer to the center of serving platter; serve.
