Stir Fried Liver with Assorted Vegetables Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 lb pork liver

  • 1/2 cup oil for frying

Ingredients A:

  • 1/2 tablespoon cooking wine or sherry

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Ingredients B:

  • 1 green onion, cut into 6 pieces

  • 6 slices ginger root

  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic clove

Ingredients C:

  • 12 Chinese pea pods

  • 12 slices precooked carrot

  • 12 slices precooked bamboo shoots

Ingredients D:

  • 1/3 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons water

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

  • Dash of black pepper, sesame oil

Method:

  1. Slice the liver into thin slices. Mix in a bowl with Ingredients A.

  2. Heat the wok then add oil. Stir fry the liver to rare; remove. Remove the oil from the wok.

  3. Reheat the wok then add 2 tablespoons oil. Stir fry Ingredients B until fragrant. Add Ingredients C; stir. Add liver and Ingredients D; turn heat to high and quickly stir fry to mix. Remove and serve.
