Spring Onion Pork Chop Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz pork tenderloin

  • 3 spring onions

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ketchup

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water

  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 3 cups cooking oil

Marinade:

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon dry sherry

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Method:

  1. Cut the pork tenderloin into 6 pieces (about 1/2 inch thick), marinade with marinade sauce for 10 minutes

  2. Heat wok and cooking oil over medium heat. Fry pork for 7 minutes, remove and drain

  3. Cut the spring onions into 3 inch sections

  4. Heat wok and 1 teaspoon oil over medium heat. Stir fry spring onion until fragrant. Add in pork, soy sauce, sugar, ketchup, and pepper. Fry and simmer for 8 minutes until pork is cooked

  5. Add in cornstarch mixture and stir well until sauce is thickened. Add in sesame oil

  6. Ready to serve
