Chinese Lion's Head Meatballs

Ingredients:

lbs ground pork

scallions, finely chopped

slices ginger root, finely chopped

tablespoons dry sherry

tablespoons cornstarch

tablespoon salt

tablespoons lard

1
lb Chinese cabbage (bak choy), quartered

cup chicken stock

Method:

Mix together the pork, scallions, ginger root, sherry,
cornstarch and half the salt. Shape the mixture into 6 - 8
meatballs

Melt the lard in a pan, add cabbage and remaining salt and
fry for 30 seconds.

Place meatballs on top of the cabbage and pour stock over
the top. Bring to boil and then cover tightly and simmer for
45 minutes over low heat

Ready to serve
