Sweet and Sour Fish Recipe

Ingredients:
Fish
Marinade:

teaspoon soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon sugar

teaspoon cornflour
-
Pinch of pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
-
1
egg white
Seasoning:
Gravy Mix:
-

teaspoons cornflour
-
2
tablespoons water
-
1
teaspoon sesame oil

Method:

Slice the fish into thin slices. Mix the marinade
ingredients and immerse the fish into solution for 1 hour,
turning every 15 minutes

Beat the egg and soak the fish into to coat evenly. Remove
and dredge with cornflour then press lightly

Heat 1/2 cup oil and deep fry the fish until golden brown.
Drain and arrange on the platter

Shred ginger and pickled vegetables finely. Slice shallot
and garlic.

Heat wok and 2 tablespoons oil, saute ginger, shallot and
garlic till fragrant. Put in seasoning and pickled
vegetables. Thicken the sauce with gravy mix. Scoop over the
fish
-
Ready to serve
