Yam Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb yam

  • 1.5 oz shelled shrimps

  • 2 stripes of Chinese sausage

  • 14 oz Tsai Lai rice powder

  • 2.5 oz Tang flour

  • 5 cup water

Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • MSG

  • Sesame oil

Method:

  1. Peel the yam and cut into shreds. Soften the shrimps with water and chop slightly. Dice the Chinese sausage. Use 3 tablespoons of oil to stir fry all the ingredients and seasoning.

  2. Mix the rice flour and wheat starch in the pan, add 5 cups of water, and heat into a paste. Add the ingredients prepared in Method 1 adn mix thoroughly, pour into the moulds and used oiled hands to pat and squeeze out the air bubbles. Steam over high heat for 1 hour. Insert a chopstick to test. If there is no rice paste sticking on the chopstick, it is cooked
