Sweet Walnut Pastries Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cake flour

  • 3/4 cup green pea flour

  • 1 1/2 cup castor sugar

  • 3/4 cup lard

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/3 cup walnut

Method:

  1. Put the cake flour on a board, make a hole in the middle

  2. Mix sugar, lard, egg, and baking soda well, and put mixture in the hole

  3. Use fingers to mix from outside to center, and knead into a dough

  4. Cut the dough into 12 pieces, roll and form a ball, press a walnut on top, put the dough on baking pan

  5. Glaze with beaten egg yolk and keep a little distance between each ones

  6. Bake them in the 425F over for 10 minutes, color with beaten egg yolk, and bake again in the 355F oven for 5 minutes

  7. Ready to serve
