Steamed Spareribs with Fermented Beans and Chilies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz pork spareribs

  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped red chili

  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped garlic

  • 1 teaspoon chopped shallot

  • 1 tablespoon dry fermented beans

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 spring onion, cut into 1 inch strips

Seasoning:

  • 1/3 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon MSG (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 tablespoon yeast

  • 1/3 teaspoon granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cooking wine

Method:

  1. Wash and cut the spareribs into pieces

  2. Mix spareribs with the seasoning ingredients, and all the ingredients.

  3. Stir well and marinade for 30 minutes

  4. Steam them over high heat for 30 minutes

  5. Ready to serve
