Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 2 carrots, shredded

  • 1 green pepper, diced

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 4 teaspoons water

Method:

  1. Mix vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, and soy sauce and boil it. Mix together cornstarch and water, put aside

  2. Heat up 1 tablespoons of cooking oil over high heat in a wok

  3. Add all vegetables and stir fry until onion is cooked and translucent. Move to a plate

  4. Heat up 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, stir fry the chicken until no pink on the outside (normally about 6 minutes)

  5. Add in vegetables and sauce mix at step #1. Cook over low heat for about 7 minutes, or until the sauce is slightly thickened

  6. Ready to serve
