Bon Bon Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

chicken or chicken legs (about 1 1/3 lbs)

1 cup
cooking bean thread sheets (cut into 1/4 inch strips)

tablespoons sesame paste or peanut butter

tablespoons soy sauce

tablespoons white vinegar

2
teaspoons sugar

1
teaspoon green onion, chopped

teaspoon ginger root, chopped

1
teaspoon garlic, chopped

tablespoon hot pepper oil ("la yu" in Chinese)

cucumber

Method:

Place
the chicken in a pot of boiling water, to cover. Cook for 15
minutes, remove

Allow
to cool then tear into shreds. Place the bean thread strips in a
pot of water and cook for 1 minute, do not overcook, remove
vermicelli.

Separately put all the ingredients (except hot pepper oil and
cucumber) in a bowl in order shown; mix after each addition
(sauce)

Arrange the strips of bean thread on a platter; then arrange the
shredded chicken on top of the strips of bean threads. Pour the
sauce over the chicken, then hot pepper oil over the chicken

Finely shredded cucumber may line the platter before placing the
strips of bean threads.
