Szechuan Beef Stir Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef flank steak

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 4 teaspoons dark sesame oil

  • 2 teaspoons sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • 1 small red bell pepper, cut into small cubes

  • 8 oz frozen baby corn

  • 1/4 lb pea pods, julienned

Method:

  1. Cut steak into thin strips

  2. Combine soy sauce, 2 teaspoons sesame oil, sugar and cornstarch; blend with beef strips

  3. Heat remaining 2 teaspoons sesame oil in large skillet over medium-high heat

  4. Add garlic, ginger, and crushed pepper, stir fry for 2 minutes

  5. Add pea pods, stir fry for 1 minute

  6. Set aside the vegetables

  7. Stir fry beef strip (1/2 portion at a time) for 2-3 minutes

  8. Mix vegetables and beef in skillet, fry for another 1 minute

  9. Ready to serve
