Chinese Style Beef Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

beef tenderloin

brown onion, shredded

tablespoon sugar

tablespoon white vinegar

tablespoons ketchup

tablespoon soy sauce

tablespoons water

1 hot
red pepper, sliced diagonally

Method:

Cut
the beef into 6 slices. Tenderize the meat with a meat mallet to
make each piece about 1/2 inch thick. Mix the meat with
Ingredients A and marinate for 1 hour.

Heat
the wok then add 2 tablespoons oil. Fry the meat until both
sides are golden brown; cook until medium done. Remove the meat;
drain. Remove the oil from the wok

Reheat the wok then add 3 tablespoons oil. Stir fry the brown
onion until fragrant. Add Ingredients B and bring to boil. Add
the meat; turn the heat to high and mix quickly. Remove to a
serving plate and serve
To
make the meat more tender, add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda to
Ingredients A.
Pork tenderloin or pork chops may
be used for this recipe.
