Chinese Beef with Mango Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb steak, slice into 1 inch slices

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 1 fresh mango, peeled and cut into small cubes

  • 1 tablespoon corn oil

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic

  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon triple sec

Method:

  1. Combine sugar, soy sauce, garlic, and triple sec and mix well

  2. Add meat, and coat well. Refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours

  3. Drain meat and reserve the marinade. Add cornstarch to the marinade and blend well, set aside

  4. Heat wok and oil over medium heat. Stir fry steak for 3 minutes or until no pink outside

  5. Add broccoli and stir fry for another 3 minutes

  6. Add reserve marinade and mango and bring to boil

  7. Stir for another 2 minutes or until the sauce is thickened and coats the meat

  8. Add chili powder, stir for another 10 seconds

  9. Ready to serve
