Crispy Fried Meat Cakes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups oil for deep frying

  • 2 cups of boiling water

  • 3 cups flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten with 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 6 tablespoons oil

  • 2 tablespoons wine

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger

  • 1 stalk leek, chopped

  • 1/2 lb Chinese cabbage, finely chopped

  • 1/2 lb ground pork

Method:

  • Heat 3 tablespoons oil and stir fry ginger, leek and ground pork

  • Add in soy sauce, salt, and wine, stir fry for another 1 minute, remove to a bowl

  • Heat 3 tablespoons oil, and stir fry the eggs. Break eggs into small pieces and add into pork mixture to make filling

  • Add cabbage into meat mixture, and mix thoroughly

  • Mix flour with boiling water and knead into dough. Cover with damp cloth and set for 10 minutes

  • Roll dough on a board into long sausage and cut into small pieces

  • Sprinkle board with flour and roll each pieces into thin pancake

  • Place 2 tablespoons filling mixture between 2 pancakes and pinch edges together

  • Heat 2 cups oil and fry meat cakes until light brown

  • Ready to serve
