Chinese Boiled Pot Stickers Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz tofu

  • 2 tablespoons Chinese mushrooms, soaked for 20 minutes and minced

  • 2 tablespoons wood ears, soaked for 20 minutes and minced

  • 1 tablespoon dried lily buds, soaked for 20 minutes and minced

  • 1 tablespoon scallion, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3 teaspoons soy sauce

  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil

  • 1 packet of Wrapper (can get from grocery store)

Dipping Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon mushroom soaking water

Method:

  1. Mash the tofu and combine with all the minced mushrooms, wood ears, dried lily buds, scallion, salt, soy sauce and sesame oil

  2. Place 2 teaspoons of the mixture or filling in the center of wrapper

  3. Fold the wrapper, press the edge together for tight seal, and make 4-5 pleats at the seal portion.

  4. Boil a pot of water, immerse the dumplings and cook for 3-5 minutes

  5. Ready to serve

  6. Go well with the dipping sauce
